What is Pimics for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?
Pimics began in 2001 as Allium Katalog, a project to streamline printed catalogue preparation for Dynamics NAV 3.6. It was later renamed Pimics, extended into a full PIM module and certified by Microsoft for Dynamics from NAV 2015 onwards. The publisher operates as Allium, with a German entity, Allium (Deutschland) GmbH, in Dresden and further offices in Brno and St. Gallen. The vendor says the product is mainly aimed at small and medium businesses.
Because Pimics is a Business Central extension distributed through Microsoft AppSource, product and ERP data share the same server, user access and backup procedures. Functionality covers supplier data imports, classification, catalogue groups with inheritance, publications for print and e-shops, digital assets and checklists for data resolution. Standards support is broad for an ERP-native tool: BMEcat and DATANORM import and export, ETIM (including ETIM 10 from release 13.1), ECLASS, GS1 and GPC, and UN/CEFACT. Commerce connectors cover Shopify, Sana Commerce, Amazon and eBay.
Pimics ships two major releases a year in line with Business Central. In 2025 it added AI text generation, attribute suggestions, AI PDF import and DeepL translation, and reported customer growth of 52%. Release 13.1 (June 2026) added an upgraded Sana connector and ETIM 10 support, and release 14.0 (September 2026) added AI image descriptions and DeepL glossaries.

Users cost EUR 36 and read-only users EUR 9, while connectors such as BMEcat or Shopify cost EUR 100 each. Implementation is charged separately.
Which product data standards does Pimics support?
Pimics supports BMEcat and DATANORM import and export, ETIM and ECLASS classification, GS1 and GPC, and UN/CEFACT. Release 13.1 in June 2026 added support for ETIM 10, and release 14.0 improved BMEcat export and ECLASS import.
